Toaph As Geek
When I was younger I was actually quite the nerd. In High School I was a combination science nerd / music nerd. Ironically it was just when I was blossoming out of my nerd persona that I first started becoming a computer geek. I took to computer programming like a fish to water, and for the only time in my life I felt like a prodigy.

Also being a pack rat, I eventually found myself with a lot of old computer equipment lying around. And working for Cornell, I was able to scoop up a lot of additional, interesting, old equipment that was otherwise being thrown away. Eventually I decided to put it together into a formal collection, and actually started acquiring new pieces. The things that appealed to me were generally things that I'd directly worked with in the past.

All the computers pictured here are from my own collection. Some pieces are the actual units that I used and lived with. Others are things I accumulated after the fact.
