The French have rejected the proposed European constitution, allegedly because they do not find it socialistic enough.  The fact is that the socialistic policies of the French and German governments have brought about the problems they have now.  But what do you expect from the French, a nation of people proud of not working hard.

My account is doing OK, at least with respect to the market.  It would be nice to see some upward movement, but for the meanwhile I am just hanging in.

I had been saving up some cash for a new system to be started next week, whenever AAII updates its website.  They say that they do it at "the middle of the month", but it would be nice to know the exact day.  How about today, for example?  Anyway, inflation news looks great, so I decided to put some money into QQQQ, IWO, IWN, and IWM. This just parks it for a while.  Hopefully I will get the updates by the first of next week, build the system, and be able to take a little profit on those indices.  Time will tell.

Cry Guilty!  All Guilty!  Finally a Decent Verdict.  Now a Long Sentence?

Dull days of small losses or small gains.  I started a new system yesterday - the A2 family has all of the most recent stocks from CNBC, Zacks, AAII, and Validea.  Went with the 10 new and the 10 old.  I hope that the market breaks out to the upside.

I also have bought INVESTools.  Excellent website, but expensive.  I have made a few trades based on their principles.  I will see how that works out.  So far nothing much, but it has only been a few days.  I know of no other website, free or pay, that has so much information all in one place and so well organized.

Terrible day yesterday.  I have given up about half of my gains for the month.  Today looks bad as well.  It all happened in just a few hours.  I took profits in FORD and GAP, just to have some extra cash.  We will see what happens next.

Not a bad month, all things considered.  The thing that really bugs me, however, is that I seem never able to beat the Russell 2000.  I would have been better off just to put the entire account into IWM a year ago and then take a vacation.  

I did some covered calls today.  The results are not impressive - I should have been able to get a better price.  Still, I brought in a bit of cash, and if those stocks are called on July 16, I will not be too bothered.

I definitely sold too many too soon this month.  Some of the sales were based on systems, but some were an attempt to take profits in order to have some cash on hand.  I will have to work on the sell discipline, but it is difficult in this kind of market.
